Lumpiang Shanghai


Ingredients:

2 pounds of cooked ground pork
1 can of water chestnuts, sliced into small pieces
1 stick of carrot (grated)
1 cup of shrimp (cooked, unshelled, and minced)
1 cup of raisins
1 onion, sliced into small pieces
2 cloves of garlic, crushed
2 egg yolks

Additional Ingredients:

lumpia wrapper (egg roll wrappers will work also)
ground black pepper
green onions, sliced into small pieces
sesame oil, soy sauce

Procedure:

Mix ground meat, water chestnuts, carrots, shrimps, raisins, sesame oil, onions,1 egg yolk thoroughly. Add soy sauce or salt, and pepper to taste. Put a one tablespoon of meat mixture in the middle of the wrapper. Flatten mixture. Roll wrapper like an egg roll. Fry. Serve with pineapple juice thickened with corn starch as sauce or with a mixture of soy sauce and lemon.
